Yahoo! Celebrity reports, “Britney Spears posted the (below) video to her Instagram page as news of her split from long-term boyfriend, David Lucado, emerged.

In yet another classic vid, Britney says to the camera: “Okay, if you ever have a really, really sh*tty day find someone with shoes with hearts on them.”

The camera then pans to an unknown girl, who very much does have hearts on her shoes, before Britney turns the camera back to her and says: “Made my day!”

They do say it’s the little things in life.

Britney and David, 27,  have been dating for a year and a half and apparently split because a video of David smooching another lady started doing the rounds.

Poor Brit.

A source told E! News: “She is heartbroken. She is a strong girl and he was never right for her.”

The 33-year-old seems to be doing okay though, confirming the news via Twitter by simply saying: “Ahhhh the single life!”

The break-up comes just two days after Britney Spears superfan, David LeCours, revealed what a sweetheart the popstar is after he gave Brit a heartfelt letter at a meet and greet prior to a performance at her Las Vegas residency show, only to receive a personal response just days later.

David said of their meeting: “The letter explained how she helped me get through a real tough period in my life these past couple of months, and how I wanted to end it all but she made me be strong.

“As I was leaving the building where meet and greet was held, Britney’s body guard ran and stopped me and said Britney requested my address so she could respond because my letter meant so much to her.”

David shared Britney’s response to Instagram, saying that he has “no words” and that it means more than she will ever know:
