The Okanagan Valley is considered one of the most beautiful areas in Canada, with varying mountain ranges, globally recognized wineries and the clear and warm Okanagan Lake.  Kelowna is an easy place to meet the man of your dreams or the woman who you want to grow old with. The scenic Okanagan offers many unbelievable venues that you can take someone on a first date, share an anniversary, or just get out of the house on a Friday night. Netflix and cuddles will be there when you get back!

Knox Mountain

One of Kelowna’s Landmarks, Knox Mountain, rests on the north side of the city. Many people are attracted to the trails that lead to various points with outstanding views of Kelowna. Paul’s Tomb is a trail which leads you to a secluded beach which is a beautiful setting to cool off in the lake, and enjoy a picnic lunch.  A great way to get to know your date as well as getting some exercise!

Wanna go traditional? Grab a bite to eat and enjoy some unique drink specials at Central Kitchen + Bar. With a smaller sized restaurant, you and your date won’t have to be yelling at one another from across the table, but still have a chance to enjoy a busy and trendy pub. Central opens up to the Central Sports Club which gives you an energetic vibe that’s good for all ages. Also, with your GetintheLoop membership, you are offered some great deals on drinks and food!

Wine Tours and Tastings

If you’re thinking about making your way to the Okanagan Valley (or are lucky enough to live here!) then I’m sure you’ve heard about the award winning wineries that surround our area. You and your date can enjoy tasting some of the best wines that the world has to offer while you look out on spectacular views. A few of my favorite wineries to go to are Summerhill Winery, and Sandhill Winery. With gorgeous views you can wine and dine your date until the stars come out! If your wanting to make the day of it, and see a few different winery’s, AMC Tours in Kelowna will tailor to your needs as they do not offer standard tours. This will leave you with a one of a kind tour experience and memories you wont forget. AMC also offers a car service so you don’t have to worry about throwing back one too many tasters!

Sparkling Hill

Located atop of the Monashee Mountains in Vernon, is Sparkling Hill Resort. This luxurious and romantic getaway is the ideal spot for a special anniversary or a weekend away with your loved one. With many suites, and the KurSpa (which is complimentary with your stay) you and your significant other will be relaxed and rejuvenated at this stunning resort. Lay back and soak in the two person tubs or open up your window walls to the Okanagan Lake or Monashee mountain and feel the outdoor oasis in your room. If you aren’t one for having an oasis in your room, venture out into the Okanagan with heli fishing, heli skiing and many golf courses in the surrounding area. Booking a night or a weekend away at Sparkling Hill will most definitely have earned a few brownie points!

Kangaroo Creek Farm

Hiding 20 minutes north of Kelowna, in Lake Country is Kangaroo Creek Farm. Yes, a kangaroo farm! Here you and your date can walk through and take a look at wallaroos and Bennet wallabies along with many other animals including emus, peacocks, goats parrots and pot belly pigs. Having been there myself, I will warn you guys that the ladies might be hinting for a pet in the near future; these things are cute! You can even feed the various kangaroos. Kangaroo Creek prides itself on being strictly commercial free, only offering a small donation at the entrance. So put your wallet away, take the gorgeous drive out to Lake Country and check out this farm that will be sure to have you and your date in a loving mood.
