“Chris Harrison is ready to move on from Juan Pablo Galavis’s controversial season of The Bachelor – and the feeling is mutual.

“We’re done with the show. We are so done,” Juan Pablo told the host during the live After the Final Rose special, which aired Monday night after he broke up with finalist Clare Crawley and offered the final rose to Nikki Ferrell but did not propose in a shocking finale episode.

Harrison and the studio audience seemed perplexed as to why Nikki could say she was happy and “absolutely” still in love, though she hadn’t heard Juan Pablo say he’s in love with her.

“It’s not that he doesn’t tell me – it’s like in his actions,” she said Monday. “I know that he does [love me]. I know that he cares about me a lot.”

Things then got heated between the Bachelor and the show’s host, who had been teasing a big surprise all evening.

“This is my secret. I’m here happy with Nikki,” Juan Pablo said when asked what his big reveal would be. “We’re very happy both of us and we’re going to start a relationship.”

Harrison pushed him to say how he felt about Nikki, as she sat right by his side. “I feel fantastic about this woman,” Juan Pablo said. “I’m very honest to her and I keep things to [ourselves] and I show her how I feel about her and she’s happy with that and we’re starting out life together.”

When asked point blank if he was in love, Juan Pablo told Harrison, “I’m not going to answer that question.”

Harrison and the studio audience – which included newlyweds Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici – seemed unsatisfied with Juan Pablo’s expectation to keep their relationship plans private and not say he was in love when prompted.

“I don’t know what I’m looking at,” Harrison said.

Juan Pablo finally admitted: “We’re taking our relationship slow … We have our plans. But it’s something we want to keep very quiet … We want to keep it private.”

Nikki seemed content with her relationship status and Juan Pablo’s refusal to say those three little words Harrison so badly wanted to hear.

“He wouldn’t be here if he didn’t care for me,” she said earlier in the night. “I’m not going to force it.””
